Glass reflective beads have been used in road marking for over 40 years. They serve as a reflector, where the incident headlight of the vehicle is reflected within the glass spheres and returned to the observer in the vehicle as a beam of light, so that road markings are clearly visible even at night or in poor lighting conditions. They are specially designed to maintain night visibility even on wet road surfaces, while also providing anti-skid properties.
